CANDIDATES SPEAK TO THE SAMMAMISH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND GUESTS
 My Appearance on YouTube.
I am on YouTube. View my appearance with the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce and their guests on YouTube. Thanks to David Vaughan with PlateauLife and the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce.

On September 20th, I had the opportunity to speak at the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce. It was a pleasure to speak to speak on the issues and how as a City Council Member I can work to promote business in Sammamish. I want to give my thanks to the Chamber and its members for allowing the candidates speak. It may be the only time you will be able to hear from me.

On the promotion of business there are two things that the City can do right now to help promote Commerce in Sammamish.

(1) First add a page on the City website to “Shop Sammamish”. Use it to explain why people should “Shop Sammamish” first. Cover the diverse types of business in Sammamish and how to find them. This can be done now. If it is built into a large promotion there are businesses that will contribute to the success and cover any costs in the future.

(2) The second thing that can be done is a “Shop Sammamish” day at the City Hall property. Allow home businesses, retail and other service business in the area to set up a booth/table and promote local business. This would be an inexpensive promotion and we could get the citizens out to let them know why there is an advantage to “Shop Sammamish” and the diverse opportunities that exist in Sammamish where they can keep their shopping dollars in their local community.  My answer to the survey provided by the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce can be found on this page under the SCC Link - SCC Questions listed above.

Please visit YouTube (here) to view the short presentation I was allowed to give to the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce and guests. You can also view the answer I provided to my one allowed question at my second link to  YouTube (here). As always Shop Sammamish and visit the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce website. I would like to thank David Vaughan with PlateauLife.com for video tapping the forum. He was responsible for helping us get the word out to Citizens of Sammamish who will select our half of our new Sammamish City Council.

Thank you all again for allowing this forum to take place.
